Design

Seloi Leu I marks the beginning of the series, exploring the first encounter between the Seloi (water buffalo) and the Leu (paddy field). Broad flowing carvings represent the quiet ripples formed as the buffalo enters the water, while the textured border symbolizes the cultivated boundary of the paddy. The composition is calm, balanced, and restrained, capturing the gentle rhythm of movement before the landscape is disturbed. It establishes the visual language that unfolds throughout the series.
